Resorts

A Busy WinterI love reminiscing about the trips i’ve been lucky enough to go on and all of the wicked places i’ve seen. I lived in northern Japan for two years which enabled me to experience some of the most insane snow on a weekly basis. At the time you don’t realise how lucky you are until you find yourself standing on a halfpipe in freezing rain and wind in New Zealand. You think back to all those trees and secret spots where you can go a whole day without seeing another person. But hey, thats what its all about. Travelling to new places, meeting new people and shredding what’s available.

I sometimes get asked what my favourite resort is. All snowboarders would probably agree that its pretty much an impossible question to answer. One resort which seems to come into my head, if you can call it a resort, is Asahidake in Hokkaido. One ropeway is all they have to get you to the top but it’s so much fun. Basically lift accessed backcountry.  6 hr round trip from my house but worth every minute!

If you want any info on any or the resorts listed below then just drop me an email and i’ll let you know my honest opinions.

So in no particular order the resorts i’ve ridden at include:
